Each staff member at the Inn has their own role, but as a team we always help out when other chores around the Inn need to be completed. As it so happens, the kitchen is the #1 spot everyone finds themselves during an event, a crazy 40+ breakfast or just making sure that cocktails are served that evening.
In turn, we wear alot of aprons. Not only is the 50's vintage style apron very popular right now, but they are quite functional as well! This week, we will be showcasing our staff in their favorite aprons.
Above you see Miss Judy sporting one of the BEST aprons we have at the Inn: The Rooster.

We have been EXTREMELY busy here at the Inn this week!
From University of North Carolina's graduation last weekend (Congrats Grads) to our staff game night to our latest and greatest scone creation (vanilla chocolate chip!), we are coming up on another weekend of Duke University family and friends that have come from all over to celebrate their graduates. If you have never seen Duke's Graduation, the prestigious university puts on quite a show. From guest speeches from Oprah Winfrey (in 2009) to building replicas of the Duke Towers (as seen in the photo above), it is quite a party! The King's Daughters Inn is so pleased have the opportunity to be a part of the festivities! We plan to serve them full and hearty breakfast to get their day going and make sure their beds are ready to fall into at the end of the evening. Congratulations to all graduates! As the wise Dr. Seuss writes "Oh, the places you'll go!".
Next up: Weddings!! Stay tuned for some of the gorgeous photography we have received from a few of our April weddings.

Throughout our intense brainstorming session over Dame's Chicken & Waffles, we had big bright ideas from waterslides to bake offs to yoga sessions. While these may come into play in the future, our theme (and a recurrent theme at the Inn in general) for the summer is good food & drink. To register for any of these events, go to Our Website. So without further ado, here is the line up:
