The New York Post's "Tasting The Triangle" raves about the array of delicious cuisine and libations. While this is not news to the locals, we are thrilled to be placed in the national spotlight! The King's Daughters Inn is highlighted as the place to stay in Durham and we hope you will too! Take the Post's tour de Durham all in one evening. Settle into one of our Art-Deco inspired standard rooms, then saunter over to Whiskey and indulge in a old-fashioned Manhattan. Our staff will arrange for dinner reservations at the highlighted French Bistro, Vin Rouge, or the upscale Southern, Watt's Grocery. After savoring a culinary evening, head back to your luxurious room for a glass of port and chocolate by your bedside to top it all off. In the morning, meander down to the Dining Room for an included full, hot breakfast. The Post mentions one of our most popular specials, our homemade chocolate chip waffles!

The Post package begins at $350.00 and includes (1) night stay in a standard room, $25.00 gift certificate for drinks, (1) $100.00 gift certificate for dinner and (1) bottle of Flor Rose Prosecco upon arrival. June 28th Farm Dinner!

            

Please join us for a dinner featuring Coon Rock Farm and Rose’s Meat Market and Sweet Shop

When: Thursday June 28^th at 6:00 pm

Where: The King’s Daughters Inn, 204 N Buchanan Blvd, Durham

The Event:  A four course meal prepared by Justin and Katie Meddis with ingredients sourced completely from Coon Rock Farm.  Justin and Katie have just moved to Durham to open a fully sustainable, whole animal butcher and pastry shop. This dinner will consist of local and seasonal ingredients including a whole pig that will be incorporated into each dish.  The goal is to represent their view of the importance of using whole animals and making every part count.  Please join us for our first dinner of the summer and look for more in the coming months. 

The Farm: Coon Rock Farm is a sustainable family farm providing garden crops and pasture raised antibiotic and hormone free chicken, eggs, pigs, lamb and goat on 55 acres nestled along a bend in the Eno River just outside of Hillsborough, NC. They concentrate on sustainably and bio-dynamically taking care of the land while letting it take care of them. The vegetables they grow are mostly heirloom varieties and raised without chemicals of any kind. Coon Rock’s animals are pastured raised and grass fed and never given antibiotics or hormones. Their chickens are heritage breeds that provide both meat and eggs and are completely free range.
