The Perfect Inn for your Wedding!

The holidays have hit, the champagne has been cheered and couples are engaged! It is such a great time of year. We start hearing from excited brides that want to see what the King's Daughters Inn has to offer for their big day!

If you want a little more information in advance, here are your options for the Inn:

1) Reserve the Inn for your family and friends to enjoy a small, boutique experience while your large ceremony and reception are held at another event space. We love to host wedding parties for the weekend. Couples utilize our event spaces (free of charge with all overnight accommodations rented) for rehearsal dinners, bridal luncheons and a place to get ready and pampered the day of the wedding! With a full hot breakfast in the morning included in their stay, the wedding party has energy all day long!

2) Reserve the Inn for overnight accommodations and your reception. We can host up to 100 people for a mix & mingle wedding reception. Heavy hor's doerves that feel like a meal and people chatting on sofas and  comfy chairs are a great relaxed feel for a wedding. Guests can boogie down in Brodie Duke Hall following cake and coffee!

Samira & Greg got married outside in September, but came back to celebrate at the Inn!

3) Host your family and friends at the inn with a small ceremony and reception. Our parlor can hold a ceremony of up to 50 people seated.

Shelley & Michael enjoyed a small, intimate ceremony.

And enjoyed a wonderful dinner and delicious cake following the ceremony!
No matter what type of wedding, we would love to play a part in it (big or small!).  Feel free to call our event coordinator, Samantha, to learn more about wedding information!

A Silver Bells Wedding: Kirsten & Terence

In April of 2012, Kirsten and Terence came to tour the Inn. They were absolutely adorable and smartly dressed, so I knew this wedding was going to be gorgeous! I also loved that they mentioned their love for Inkspot Crow's wedding documentaries won them over! Check one out here.

Kirsten and Terence exchanged vows on an early December evening at the Inn. They met in Durham and found it only appropriate to celebrate in the town that gave them each other. With the help of family, friends and well-versed vendors, their wedding and reception was impeccable.

The evening began with the melodic sounds of the Virtuoso Strings as guests seated themselves for the the ceremony in the parlor. As the couple said "I do",   Extravagant Fare prepared a delicious meal of melt in your mouth short ribs accompanied by veggies and buttery mashed potatoes. The atmosphere of the Inn felt ethereal, with loved and classic arrangements and bouquets by the Watered Garden that accented the charcoal linens the bride special ordered from DeeJay's Event Rentals.

As the evening continued, Daisy Cakes provided giant cupcakes in place of a traditional cake and guests were invited to dance the night away in Brodie Duke Hall.

To conclude the evening, guests bid the couple "adieu" with a sparkling exit. But, don't worry, the bride and groom went back to the party to enjoy the remainder of the evening and stay for the night.

A Sparkling Exit!

They were an absolute pleasure to work with along side Aunt Pam that was the best wedding assistant a bride (or niece) could ask for!

Congrats to Kirsten & Terence!
